Pe 1, English 1, Spanish 2, Geometry, Choir,
J. Jensen, D. Erickson, J. Beckett, B. Hogan.
Pe 1 (Mrs. Jensen):
There was no homework due for this class. So basically, you stretch and then you have to run THREE monster laps. After you do that and record your time with Mrs. Jensen, you can either play on the wall or on the courts and practice for the assessment on backhand, forehand, serves, and volleying. Before you leave, you get your 5k sponsor sheet. There is no homework assigned for this class besides getting sponsors for the 5k which is next Thursday/Friday.
English 1 (Mrs. Erickson):
The next draft of your essay and questions for section two and three were due, even though she doesn't check them. You get into class and you are "lectured" about how bad your compare and contrasts essay were, and you then have to self edit your synthesis papers. After doing that, you then get time to finish up your learning stations. This takes the majority of the time so the last fifteen minutes are used to talk about 'Night' and go over the questions. The homework assigned is dialectical journals (1-3) and annotating and questions for the next section. Also, all learning station work is due on Wednesday of next week.
Spanish 2 (Mrs. Matic)
A new calender is handed out during class. When you get into class you must suffer through shakira and then Cuenta Conmigo. Once that is done you are forced to dance "salsa" this is essentially free time to goof off and do nothing. After working through she will give you a homework assignment on what the test will be and then says that she will give you the test on monday. Study this sheet, the answers will be posted online this weekend.
Geometry (Mrs. Beckett):
Homework for this class were the POW, your binder, the reflection, and the test corrections. So basically in this class you assemble all that together and you spend the rest of the class period working on like 7 pages in your workbook. The last five minutes are spent going over answers. There is no homework assigned for this class.
Choir (Mr. Hogan):
There was no homework, except study sight reading, but we didn't do that today anyways. We go inside and he warms us up, as usual. After that he reviews the music for the benefit concert this Saturday. Then he puts the Broadway Show DVD in while he finishes up auditions. The only homework assigned for this class is to bring in that item to donate for the benefit concert.

P.E 1, English 1, Geometry, Choir
J. Jensen, D. Erickson, J. Beckett, B. Hogan.
P.E. (Mrs. Jensen):
All that you had to do for this class was read that one paper she passed out, but if you don't, she doesn't care. So basically you do your stretches. Then you do some pushups. And then you run two laps of the tennis courts. After you finish that, you get to play "king/queen of the court". So you play that for like a good 20 minutes, if not more. After that you proceed to play two tennis games with two other teams, and that pretty much concludes the period. There is no homework assigned for this class.
English 9 HP (Mrs. Erickson):
The homework that she stamps to day is the draft 3 of your essay. So, as you are walking into the classroom, Mrs. Erickson passes out these slips of paper that tell you what station you are going to be starting at. There are basically four stations (which btw, you don't get through them all). So Station #1 has this article that you have to take notes on and discuss with a group while answering this handout. Station #2 is Found Poetry where you take quotes out of one of the articles and add your own words, and then you have to take it home, type it up, and put it on some symbol (no Swastikas, guys). Station #3 is reading some other article, I think, and taking notes on it. Also you have to discuss like how it relates to 'Night'. Staiton #4 is just watching a video of a Holocaust Survivor and you take notes on him. All notes are Cornell Style, btw. Anyways, homework assigned for this class is draft 4 and section two of 'Night'.
Geometry (Mrs. Beckett):
There is no homework due today for this class. You go into class and you spend ten-ish minutes organizing your binder for Unit 6, which btw, she has the list on the board for you. After that you spend the rest of the period doing the portfolio activity which is about rectifying curved figures to turn them into rectangular figures. She guides you through it, so it's super easy. She also passes out the reflection paper that you need to fill out. Homework assigned for this class is the POW, the reflection she passed out, and test corrections on the Circle Quiz. Also there is a binder check on Thursday/Friday.
Choir (Mr. Hogan):
There is no homework due today for this class. Basically, all you do in this class is watch a video on Motown and this band called The Funky Brothers, while he finishes up auditions/final test. There is an assignment with the video pertaining to songs your recognize, names of band members and what they play, and five interesting facts. The unofficial homework assigned for this class is studying and/or going over sight reading, which starts on Thursday/Friday.

Welcome
My name is John.
Today we are creating something that will help you towards academic success.
The Blacklist is a place where you can check for upcoming quizzes, tests, and due assignments.
For example, say you have English and History papers due on Wednesday, but someone already had those classes on Tuesday. The people who have these classes early will create posts to tell you that your history teacher was absent, or that your English paper will be extended for another week.
By having this kind of information, you will be able to prioritize on nights that you are overloaded, or remember to study for a pop quiz.
However, if we want this to work, I will need volunteers to post for their classes. This is a give and take blog. Email me if you would like to help, and send me the classes and teachers for whom you would like to post. The email is The_Black.list@yahoo.com
DISCLAIMER: This is not a site that practices academic dishonesty. Bloggers are not allowed to share answers on homework or information on tests. Bloggers may only share information about which assignments are due, which tests are coming up, and other warnings such as substitute teachers and what occurs during class.
Thank You. Please email: The_Black.list@yahoo.com
Lets get this thing running by next week
